Two of my favorite things!

Dubs and NICK MONTANA!!!

How cute is Dubs? How cute is Nick Montana? How cute are they together???
Hopefully next season Mr. Montana can take up the mantel from Jake. With a little inspiration from the best mascot ever, Dubs!

BSG COMES TO SEATTLE!!!!

Best. News. Ever.

Period.

Until March 4th the BSG exhibition will be at Seattle's, Experience Music Project!!!!! They have a full size Viper Mark 7 AND Mark 5 AND a Cylon raider. Will Jaime Barber be there in person...well, no. And mores the pity. BUT, they will have enough pure Battlestar goodness to sustain my geeky self for a good long while. Perhaps this will shed light on the so-horrible-I'm-Just going-to-pretend-it-didn't-happen-ending??? Also, I defiantly thought that tickets to EMP were a lot more than FIFTEEN DOLLARS! Fifteen dollars to see my beloved BSG in the flesh? Frak, Frak YES!!
I will now proceed to re-watch the entire series in preparation for my visit. No comments are needed on how cool this makes me.

Wowowowowow

I have just re-discovered...myself. And reading...myself, made me laugh, so I've decided to continue blogging. At least on sporadic days when the mood strikes me or I have too much free time at work. While not mutually exclusive these things do generally coincide. Also, my spelling when not writing frequently goes straight to the toilet. Observe my spelling grievances at quiz night Monday:

"Selena, there's no E on the end of point."

"Selena, did you just spell fear, f-e-r-e??".

Er, yes? You still got the word out so that works, right? So in an effort to not revert to second grade, a place in my life when I was the only one who could decipher my writing, I am going to write every day. At least a little bit. And you, my readers (of which there are very few or none) can bear (of which I do not mean the fuzzy kind, but the kind in which you grudgingly stick with me except I can't remember how to spell the word) with me on the spelling and grammar.

Two things

One: I'm back! (obviously)

Two: Don't eat onions on your sandwich at lunch. The smell wont go away and you'll be afraid to speak to any one at your job for the rest of the afternoon.

London!

Yes, as it was brought to my attention, it did seem like I may have fallen off the face of the earth there for a couple of weeks. Well, I would like to assure you that I have not (unless you still believe the world is flat, and then I believe you could make an argument), and that I am safe, sound and quite happy in jolly old England. I would apologize for my absence, but then, I'm really not too sorry about running around London, so it would be insincere. I've been in the city for about a week and a half now, and am having the time of my life. The tube took a little getting used to, and I still giggle a little on the inside when someone speaks with a British accent, but I'm working on it. I am currently in a battle with British customs over the mailing of my laptop to me, which has seriously hindered my internet time. Also, no pictures until the laptop gets here. Me being me I did not bring the connector for my camera, thinking that I could just slide the memory card into a PC like I do with my laptop. Not so apparently. Well, my time is running up (50p for a half hour of time here) and I must catch the tube to King's Cross before taking a train up to Edinburgh, Scotland.

Cheers!

Dubs!

So, about four months ago the U got a new mascot...

Who is probably the most adorable thing to walk the face of this planet. I mean, come on, will you just look at that face?

But today interweb, today, I discovered that Dubs has a blog. It's like the shiba-inu puppy cam, except without the live feed.

I implore you to click the link, click it!

Google horoscope is So True

I took a break from studying to bring you this important news(your/you=me):

"Although there's a lot going on in your life now, you might just want to coast through the day. Of course you will need to do a certain amount of work to get by, but you intuitively know that it makes more sense to conserve your energy today than to expend it. More will be required of you when active Mars enters your sign over the weekend. Next week will be a whole new ballgame, so you might as well rest up until then."

So true! The class that I am taking pass/fail has its final tomorrow, so I'm not putting in quite as much effort as I might have otherwise. And with finals week next week will be 'a whole new ballgame', what with my last two finals and PACKING *sob* for my trip to LONDON for which I leave on SUNDAY!

Mais, oui!

If ever asked by a beautiful black man, "do you speak French?" The correct answer is always:

"Yes, I mean oui. Un petite amount." Because this totally demonstrates your grasp of the french language.

Me and Pippen spent about an hour last night with two French men attempting to find an exclusive European bar on the ave. There was most definitely a language barrier as the only French I could manage to remember consisted of yes, no and I understand. Very help full when giving directions. We did however get 'un invite' to their 'magnifizent show' at Meanie Hall. As in, their French Ballet show.

We met hot French Ballet men.

Or as Pippen has taken to calling them 'Monsieur Hot French'. However the tickets for the ballet are 38$, merde.

Grrrr

This makes me so. mad.

Not the fact that proposition 8 is being appealed, because it should be, but the fact that it has to be appealed at all. I really can't get over the fact that will still live in a nation where fundamental rights can be taken away from a group of people. Even more so that for prop 8 to even have been put on the ballot someone took time out of their day to essentially say, 'yes, I think I'll ruin this group of people's lives this year'. This is even sadder to me after watching Milk. While I really only listened to about half of the movie I was still bawling at the end and if you happened to see the acceptance speech given by the young man who wrote the screen play at the academy awards the movie is even more heart wrenching. By which I mean to say you should go watch the movie immediately if you haven't done so yet.

It's scary that something like prop 8 can pass in California, which is generally the most forward thinking on gay rights. What does this mean for the rest of states?

B.O.D

That's Black Out Drunk for those of you not in the know and how I spent the later part of my birthday. I also apparently got stopped by three police cruzers on my way back from the bars, all of which laughed at me when my friends said it was just my 21st birthday and that they where trying to get me home, made my boyfriend go back into the bar to look for my shoes (they where on my feet), threw up on a sorority (they deserved it), and crawled around my apartment with no pants on (no worries, I was wearing cute underwear). I also sent these illustrious texts:

"U blow asiso cock" you blow asian cock
"Did you jew out" to my jewish friend
"it's my biqthday and i wishu where here!!!" It's my birthday and I wish you where here
"Ian drunk!iso wirh you wierehere!!!" I am drunk. I so wish you where here!
"Let me know when znur nutsidge" Let me know when you're outside.

I was told I had a great time.
